Milton Roy Hosts Inaugural Golf Outing to Benefit BSA

Milton Roy’s Ivyland, PA location recently hosted an inaugural golf outing at Five Ponds Golf Club in Warminster, PA to benefit the Bucks County Council, Boy Scouts of America (BCC, BSA). A total of 124 golfers representing business partners, employees and the local community attended the outing, which began with a shotgun start and ended with a banquet complete with raffle prizes and awards for the players. The generosity of each of our donators and sponsors made this event a remarkable success with contributions coming from as far away as Malaysia.

Pat Kealey, VP and GM of Milton Roy explained, “Charitable giving and community investment have long been core values of Milton Roy. Through dedicated involvement with the Boy Scouts of America and partnerships with other local charities, Milton Roy is making a positive difference in the community.”

The proceeds from this outing broke BCC, BSA records from similar events of recent years.  Magne Gunderson, BSA Executive Director stated, “We serve over 5,000 youth in this community. Your support today is an investment in tomorrow’s leaders. The money raised will support venturing and exploring programs for the youth of Bucks County, including training activities and summer camp.”

In the end, the players enjoyed the opportunity to play on this challenging course, but it was also a great opportunity to connect with business partners. Jim Casey, Director of Marketing & Director of Sales Commercial Products explained, “It was a fantastic time and opportunity to interface with customers, distributors and representatives in a relaxed atmosphere, while helping the local community.
